General Information:
Clear hole spacers are basic parts used to either seperate parts from one another. They can also be used to insulate and protect other itmes from being exposed to outside enviroments such as water or atmosphere.
Like all of our products, these spacers can be modified to fit the needs of the individual customer. Modifications can be to the ID (ID .150 +-.005 vs .140 +.015-.000) or length (.250 +-.003).
Material and Clearance Hole Notes:
Not all materials are offered in Hex and Square. Please contact us to find out which grades are available.
When choosing a hole size for putting a threaded part through to be protected, a basic rule of thumb is to have the hole size be about .010" larger than the Major OD of the thread part.
Example: A 6-32 thread's major uutside diameter is around .134" so by having a .140" Min Clearance Hole it will have a nice fit but won't damage the threads.
